RENEWABLES
In line with our strong commitment to sustainability, in 2006, we created Hychico, a subsidiary of Capex with a primary focus on renewable energies. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to the development of clean and sustainable energy sources, contributing to environmental well-being and a more sustainable energy future.
We have two wind parks, a solar park (under construction), a Hydrogen production plant and several projects to continue expanding the portfolio of renewable energies.
Hychico S.A.
Hychico has two main objectives:
- Energy generation through sustainable sources: We have developed a wind park to contribute to the generation of clean and sustainable energy.
- Integral development of hydrogen as an energy vector: We consider hydrogen as a versatile energy source, capable of being stored and used as raw material for other purposes, such as the production of «green» methane through the methanation process.
We built a hydrogen and oxygen production plant through water electrolysis, reflecting our commitment of developing knowledge and expertise in renewable energy production and the use of hydrogen as a future energy source. We are focused on contributing to meeting the demand for energy at both the national and global levels sustainably and efficiently.

HYDROGEN
PLANT
The hydrogen plant features two electrolyzers with a total production capacity of 120 Nm3/h of hydrogen and 60 Nm3/h of oxygen. The high-purity hydrogen (99.998%) is blended with natural gas to fuel a 1.4 MW generator equipped with an internal combustion engine specially adapted to operate with a mixture of rich and/or lean gas blended with hydrogen.

Generador Rating
1,4 MW of electric power

Production Capacity
60m3/h of oxygen
120m3/h of hydrogen
